Less obsessive, more happy?

I realize I always have this mindset that if I obsess over something enough, it will keep me motivated to do what I need to do to reach my goal. The downside of this is that I obsess SO much, that after a few weeks, I lose steam, or simply become bored with my aspiration or goal, and actually start moving away from where I want to be or want to at least go towards. 

I definitely need to re-analyze my plan here. Hmm. 

I’ve been attempting a paleo-esque eating style for the last few weeks. I’ve seriously slacked in the last week or at least few days. I recognize the pattern here. This is usually the time I start to completely veer away from my goal. SO let’s back up a few steps and not let that happen. So I slacked some? I’ll re-start tomorrow with a 16 hour fast. 

I’ve also been slacking with exercise because the hardest thing for me is to balance nutrition and exercise at the same time. I work out hard, burn a lot of calories, and get VERY hungry.. Therefore I end up eating a lot, and sometimes overcompensate. Paleo-style eating has definitely helped me control the hunger thing, but now it’s time to throw exercise back into the mix. 

Here we go! Hopefully my readjusted attitude will help me stick to my goal. The upside, I have lost about 7 lbs! Let’s hope it keeps going in the right direction. 


Slipped a little today…

Back to hardcore Paleo tomorrow! Less than a month until my vacay to Europe!! Must work for it!

Paleo-friendly crab cakes and mashed cauliflower with garlic, dill and smidge of grass-fed butter for din din. =]

Then I melted some dark chocolate with some coconut milk for dipping strawberries. Just enough to satiate my sweet tooth craving!

Am down 4 lbs since last week! Yes, finally some progress. Carbs/processed food were majorly stalling my weight loss efforts.
